Sometimes You Have to LOSE to WIN!

No one likes to lose! I believe we were created with an inner drive to succeed in all aspects of life. But there comes a time in life when we are presented with challenges, and though we intend to win by any means necessary, it doesn't always go in our favor. The enemy doesn't play fair. He is cunning and crafty and will pull out every trick in the bag to defeat us and keep us from living the abundant life God promised.

Life has taught me that sometimes we have to lose to win. I know it sounds crazy, but I have lost things in life that opened doors to some new opportunities. Quite naturally, I wanted to hold on to what was familiar, but who's to say I was supposed to have access to that person or thing anyway? What if I chose a relationship that God never intended, and that is the reason it didn't bear fruit? What if that job is becoming complicated because God is calling you to step out on faith and trust Him for something greater? But you are afraid to step out because you have no idea what is on the other side of unemployment.

I can recall a time in my first marriage when my husband came home after losing a job, and if I'm not mistaken, I was pregnant with our second daughter. He panicked, but I didn't. I grabbed his hand and began to pray. It was not long after that prayer that the phone rang, and another company called to offer him a job. Won't He do it! Yes, He will! But we have to BELIEVE that He can do exceedingly, abundantly ABOVE all that we can ask, think, or even IMAGINE!

Our Father loves us, and He desires to give us good things, but like any parent, we have to be willing to be obedient and do what is right. We have to possess a good heart, because God does not bless mess. Whatever you are holding on to today that God has told you to let go of, I know it is hard but ask for help. There are some things we can't do without the power of the Holy Spirit. He was sent as a comforter for situations like these. To be a guide for us as we navigate through life.

Let Go and Let God have His way, and you will see a great transformation take place in your life!!!!
