Return...For Your Destiny Awaits!

Zechariah 9:12

Return to the stronghold (of security and prosperity), O prisoners who have the hope; even today I am declaring that I will restore DOUBLE (your former prosperity) to you (as firstborn among nations.)

What does it mean to return?

   to go back in thought, practice, or condition: revert

2. to pass back to an earlier possessor

Number 2 says to pass back to an earlier possessor. I like the way that sounds! God created us. Therefore, He is the earlier possessor. He is the original owner, and we cannot live this life without Him. Oftentimes, the difficulty of life causes us to stray away from God, rather than running to God. We adopt the mindset that we can handle life without instructions, but a wise man once said, "We are ONLY as good as our instructions!" If we refuse to lean into the manufacturer, life will be tough and rigid to navigate.

But I was encouraged by Zechariah 9:12 because it instructs those who have hope to return to the stronghold. Who is the stronghold? God, who is our protector, refuge, and source of strength. This word encourages us to dismiss distractions and FOCUS (follow one course until successful) on the God who loves us and desires to bless us with a DOUBLE portion.

After Job chose to stop whining and lean into the source, he was blessed with a double portion after such a treacherous loss. No matter what has happened in your life, God is still with you. Jesus is still sitting at His right hand, making intercession for you. You are never alone, and the blood still works. The ability to repent and start over is still your portion, but not only will you be returned to the fold, but you will receive BACK your former prosperity.

Call to ACTION:

1. Take time today to lay it all on the altar.

2. Be intentional in taking inventory of your heart and giving anything and anyone to God.

3. Let Him carry your burdens, for His yoke is easy and His burdens are light. We were never meant to carry stress, worry, and anxiety.

4. Pray and repent if needed.

5. Right down your desires and find a scripture to decree and declare, for God is faithful to His word.

6. Water that word with praise and worship, until you see the manifestation.

Remember, YOU ARE VICTORIOUS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! He is the same today, as He was yesterday.
