Denecia Neshon Herbert
Denecia Herbert, affectionately known as “Lady D, The Hope Specialist,” is an author, publisher, mentor, ministry leader, entrepreneur, life coach, speaker, and transformational voice. Her calling is rooted in Isaiah 61—to bring good news to the oppressed, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to those who are bound, and help people rebuild lives affected by pain and devastation.
Denecia does not minister from theory alone. Her message was developed through her personal experiences with childhood trauma, rejection, family wounds, broken relationships, delayed purpose, entrepreneurship, grief, widowhood, and the difficult process of rebuilding after loss. These experiences have given her deep compassion for people who feel broken, overlooked, trapped in survival mode, or unsure how to begin again.
She founded Shekinah Glory Publishing, a faith-centered publishing company that helps people turn their testimonies, experiences, and God-given messages into books that heal, educate, empower, and leave a lasting legacy.
Denecia also wrote the Just Bleed series. She released the original book just two months before her husband passed away in 2022. What began as a message about confronting pain and embracing healing soon became deeply personal as Denecia found herself living through another profound season of bleeding, grief, and transformation. Her journey later inspired the Just Bleed Initiative, created to provide people with a safe space to acknowledge their pain, confront unresolved wounds, release what they have carried in silence, and begin the journey toward genuine healing.
As The Hope Specialist, Denecia’s mission is expressed through HOPE: Helping Oppressed People Escape, Evolve, and Excel. She helps individuals escape destructive cycles and limiting beliefs, evolve through healing and renewed thinking, and excel in the identity and purpose God has ordained for their lives.
Drawing from her own experiences with trauma, rejection, grief, and widowhood, Denecia encourages others to transform their pain into purpose and believe that their story is not over. Whether she is speaking, writing, coaching, mentoring, publishing, or hosting The Kingdom T.E.E., she creates opportunities for people to confront what happened, rediscover who they are, and embrace the possibility of restoration.
Beyond her professional and ministry work, Denecia is the proud mother of three amazing adult children: Shannon Nettles, Vernecia Henry, and Vashaie Henry.
Through every expression of her calling, Denecia carries one consistent message:
You are not what happened to you.
You are not disqualified by what you survived.
