There are days filled with tears, questions, loneliness, and uncertainty. There are also moments of unexpected strength, healing, and hope.
No two widows travel the same path, but none of us were meant to walk it alone.

My Story
My name is Denecia Herbert, and for the last four years I have been learning how to live after loss. Widowhood has taken me through places I never imagined I would have to walk. There have been moments of overwhelming grief, loneliness, fear, financial uncertainty, disappointment, regret, and questions that only God could answer.
I've experienced victories and setbacks.
I've made wise decisions—and I've made painful mistakes.
I've learned what it means to survive, but more importantly, I've learned what it means to heal.
There were seasons when I chose relationships out of pain instead of purpose. Seasons where I questioned my value, my future, and even my ability to dream again.
Yet through every tear, every unanswered prayer, every difficult lesson, and every moment when I thought I couldn't go another step...
God remained faithful.
He never abandoned me.
He gently rebuilt what grief had broken.
He reminded me that widowhood would become part of my story—but it would never become my identity.
Today, my greatest desire is to reach back and help another widow discover that there is still life after loss, purpose after pain, and joy after mourning.
I have also experienced what I call being a spiritual widow—feeling disconnected, isolated, emotionally abandoned, and longing for the intimacy and security that only God can truly provide. As this ministry grows, we'll explore both journeys and discover how God restores every broken place.
If my story helps even one woman believe again, then every tear has been worth it.
