GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO BLEED

1 min read

There comes a point when pretending you're okay becomes more painful than admitting you're not.

Some of us became so good at surviving that nobody knew we were bleeding.

We went to work bleeding.

Raised children bleeding.

Served people bleeding.

Prayed bleeding.

Loved people bleeding.

Built businesses bleeding.

Went to church bleeding.

And when someone asked, "How are you?"

We smiled and said, "I'm good."

But healing cannot begin where honesty is forbidden.

Today, I'm not asking you to fix anything.

I'm asking you to tell yourself the truth.

Something hurt me.

Something disappointed me.

Something changed me.

Something happened that I never fully processed.

And I am giving myself permission to acknowledge it.

Bleeding isn't weakness.

Sometimes bleeding is simply evidence that something inside you needs attention.

TODAY'S BLEED:

Write one sentence beginning with:

"The truth is, I am still hurting from..."

Don't correct it.

Don't spiritualize it.

Don't explain it.

Just tell the truth.
